As we talk about the problems of humanitarian education and its current decline, we all the more often switch to verbiage taken from fields very remote from humanities, at least in the classical sense. We even recur to metaphors borrowed from market exchange. The idiom of humanities evidently needs a cleanup, enrichment and genuine development.
